It’s been a month since my Father passed. It’s still hard for me to accept, I wake up sometimes and it just doesn’t feel real to me. My dad was my biggest supporter in music and in life. He used to send my videos to everyone on his WhatsApp, then send me a voice note saying, “this one’s going to pop like popcorn!”. Small moments like that, when he would just make me laugh, is everything I miss right now. This is the hardest song I have ever had to write, every line sent me into tears. Even recording it, I couldn’t get through the second verse without crying. But I wanted to make something special for you, something to make you smile.

As the weeks pass by I see more and more of my friends lose parents, family members, and loved ones to COVID-19. I have had friends reach out to me who have lost a parent at a young age, and it breaks my heart knowing I didn’t understand the extent of their pain back then. But you can’t really understand losing someone until you have experienced it yourself. My girl also lost her grandma the month before, so imagine us trying to be there for one another when we haven’t even made sense of our own pain yet. It’s been rough, but I know God is watching over us. For anyone who has ever lost someone, I hope this song helps you heal, helps you grieve, and helps you celebrate your loved ones. Dad, I hope you’re dancing up in heaven.

Lyrics:
There’s a lot of things I wanna tell you
Yeah things I gotta tell you
Like how much I really love you
I kept it to myself too
Hear your voice up on my cell too
It makes it that much harder for me
So much harder to breathe

There’s a lot of things I wanna tell you
Yeah things I gotta tell you
Like how much I really love you
I kept it to myself too
Hear your voice up on my cell too
It makes it that much harder for me
So much harder to breathe

Pops you know I’m lost here without you
Can’t speak when I’m talking about you
I mean your the person to talk to
When life got real I would call you

Is there was a line I could call you on
Meet by the diner that’s all you want
All those times we had were special
But I promise I won’t forget you

And I been dying to you see
As a kid I just wanted to be you
Wish this life came with a redo
I would run to your side never leave you

And I still cry in bed alone
All of the times we ain’t get along
I know you wanna hug me by the table
Saying that’s not the way I raised you

There’s a lot of things I wanna tell you
Yeah things I gotta tell you
Like how much I really love you
I kept it to myself too
Hear your voice up on my cell too
It makes it that much harder for me
So much harder to breathe

There’s a lot of things I wanna tell you
Yeah things I gotta tell you
Like how much I really love you
I kept it to myself too
Hear your voice up on my cell too
It makes it that much harder for me
So much harder to breathe

And I been praying for you
Make sure God never lets you go
Never liked to see you hurt every since I was 3 years old

I been getting emotional
Sharan loves you the most you know
We see our childhood in your eyes
Never got to say goodbye

It’s okay I’ll see you soon
I’ll just cry in the living room
After we parted ways
On the holidays
That’s ended kinda late

You know I’ll trade my life just or see you smile on a Sunday while you eat
Telling me that your proud of me
Telling me that your proud of me

There’s a lot of things I wanna tell you
Yeah things I gotta tell you
Like how much I really love you
I kept it to myself too
Hear your voice up on my cell too
It makes it that much harder for me
So much harder to breathe

There’s a lot of things I wanna tell you
Yeah things I gotta tell you
Like how much I really love you
I kept it to myself too
Hear your voice up on my cell too
It makes it that much harder for me
So much harder to breathe

There’s a lot of thing I wanna tell you
