Summer 2020 sees the release of the debut single from new artiste ‘Ayce & Spirit Of Love. The song is a cover of classic 90’s inspirational R&B song ‘Send Out A Prayer’ originally recorded by Christian group Anointed. Ayce was inspired to record the song as he contemplated the plight of many around the world affected by the COVID 19 virus, which has claimed so many lives as well as more ‘man-made’ disasters such as the horrible situation in a war-torn Yemen, which is causing mass starvation and the ongoing trauma afflicted on the BAME community as a result of police brutality and systemic racism in western society. The message is a simple one as Ayce states in a message, which precedes the song

‘We see you and we’re praying for you….’Ayce & Spirit Of Love is the brainchild of

falling under the banner of ‘Spirit Of Love’. Ayce is a well sought after musician and producer who has worked with many over the years including the likes of Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Duffy and most recently touring with the Spice Girls on their record-breaking ‘Spice World’ stadium Tour in 2019. Ayce is no stranger to the British gospel music scene having up till recent years worked closely with the London Community Gospel Choir as Creative and Music Director as well as stints with Noel Robinson and other leading Gospel music artistes.

He also caught the attention of the BBC in 2103 when he was in charge of the music for the first-ever BBC Gospel Prom and was subsequently asked to return and produce the whole show in 2016, a show which was hosted by Destiny’s Child’ member Michelle Williams and featured many of the leading UK Gospel artistes in a showcase of authentic British Gospel expression. This instance of ‘Send Out A Prayer’ is an acoustically driven R&B/Soul recording (much like the original) with an intelligent and soulful production that underpins phenomenal soul-drenched vocal performances from each of the featured artists.

The first iteration of the track was penned by Mary Tiller & Ty Lacey and released on Anointed’s Grammy-nominated album ‘The Call’ in 1995, which was their top-selling album and one of the most popular contemporary Christian albums of the 90s.⁃ ⁃ ⁃ ⁃ ⁃⁃Ayce & Spirit Of Love is the brainchild of Producer/creative director Ayo ‘Ayce’ Oyerinde who collaborates with vocalists and musicians all falling under the banner of ‘Spirit Of Love’.
