Songwriter and producer, Ian Green’s Christmas Anthem is Arms Open Wide featuring multi-award winning artist Lurine Cato. Teaming up again with Lurine Cato to record the track “I knew she would understand the sentiment of the song, I needed someone who had the sensitivity and heart to bring more life to it and she really did.” Arms Open Wide was originally recorded for Green’s last album ‘I Still Believe’; however, he just felt it was not the right timing to add it.
Lurine called me recently and said the song was playing over and over in her head and then I knew the timing was right to release this song. Green and Cato have worked together on each other’s tracks. “I really love how Ian wrote this song, it’s so heartfelt, not just for this season, it’s for every season”, states Cato. However, they both acknowledge this will be a very different Christmas across the world this year and therefore, the lyrics of this track will resonate with many.
