“My Everything” is mainly a song about priority. The recent world has displayed so much uncertainty, and this song talks about how there is always a love and a hope to hold on to. People will fail us, the system will fail us, the nature of us being human will fail us; countless times. I wanted to choose to run from fear- and choose to keep what constant in my life at the forefront of my head and heart. It’s all that’s important to keep me grounded in peace.
