Sometimes the things that we are up against in life are like impassable, invisible mountains. Everywhere we turn, there they are. They just become a part of our lives, and anticipated obstacle with, what feels like, no way through or around.
For me, that mountain was a severe vocal dysfunction which led to several surgeries, over a five year period. and left me wrestling with the fear that I may never sing again. In the darkest days of that struggle, I kept holding on to the word God had spoken to me about my calling as a songwriter. I knew that God would not call me to do something, then allow something to stop it from coming to pass.
