After an independent music career spanning over 17 years, Philippa Hanna signed her first official recording contract with Integrity Music. The deal was agreed in the first days of 2020 and will commence later this month with the recording of her first ever worship project. Steve Harding (A&R Manager) says, “We at Integrity are delighted to be partnering with Philippa – a gifted writer, worship leader and story teller. Phillippa’s songs will call to people, both inside and outside the church, and draw the focus again to Jesus at the centre of our beautiful gospel.”

Although it is set to be her first release on a major worship label, the project will be Philippa’s 7th studio album. Her last two records, ‘Speed of Light’ and ‘Come Back Fighting’ took the Official Christian & Gospel Charts #1 spot, with ‘Come Back Fighting’ peaking at #10 on the Official Country Chart. Hopes are high for the long-awaited worship project after several songs were teased via social media and in live appearances.

“I like to think my music is for everyone” says Yorkshire born singer-songwriter Philippa, “and I’ve had a vision to make a worship album that will connect with a broad range of people for years now. I’ve enjoyed being an independent artist, but in the sphere of praise and worship there is no one I’d rather work with than Integrity.”

Philippa and drummer/tour manager husband Joel have split their time between the UK and Nashville for some years. With label offices on both sides of the pond, Integrity Music came as a perfect partnership opportunity. “I wrote most of my last two albums in Nashville and had written with several Integrity artists there… when the conversation opened up about signing with them here in the UK, it made so much sense! I will be so proud to call Integrity my home and I am beyond excited about these new songs,” she shares.

Although the track listing is as yet unreleased the album is set to include “Everything Is Possible,” a highly requested song after its live debut on BBC Songs Of Praise last year, and “Now To Jesus,” a collaboration that tipped over 4 million views on Facebook.

ABOUT PHILIPPA HANNA

Philippa Hanna is an acclaimed British singer-songwriter currently splitting her time between Sheffield and Nashville alongside a hectic international touring schedule.

Since her first public performance with an acoustic guitar in 2007, Philippa has released seven albums, a live DVD, has had two autobiographical books published and notched up over one thousand live performances in twenty-five countries over the past decade.

As well as becoming a leading light in the Christian & Gospel scene in Europe, the Barnsley-born singer has been invited to open tours for household names including Lionel Richie, Little Mix, Leona Lewis, Wet Wet Wet and Anastacia, highlighting the broadness of her appeal. Having gained ongoing support from the BBC (Songs of Praise, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 2), MEGS funding from the DiT/BPI and over £85,000 through crowdfunding, Philippa Hanna is growing into a widely recognised and respected brand internationally.

Born into a musical family, Philippa knew from an early age that that making music was all she wanted to do and has successfully followed in the footsteps of cousins Richard & Danny McNamara (Embrace) and brother Stuart Zender (Jamiroquai) in carving out her own path in the world of entertainment. Her music frequently draws upon her experiences of a turbulent youth, and the Christian faith she found in 2004. Through songs including ‘I Am Amazing,’ ‘Arrow’ and ‘Raggedy Doll’ she champions self-esteem in young people whilst simultaneously raising awareness for the work of children’s charity Compassion UK for which she’s recruited over 1,000 sponsors at live events.
