I wrote this song for my sister’s birthday. That year she has been struggling with a lot of anxiety for the first time. This song is sung from the perspective of Jesus to someone who is suffering. It contains two comforts/hope that we have as followers of Jesus. 1. That Jesus is close to the broken-hearted and identifies with our suffering because he suffered during his time on earth. 2. That even though we may suffer now, there will be a day when God himself wipes every tear from our eyes. It’s in 3/4 so it has a lullaby feel to it. This song is particularly for those who struggle with mental illness.
