I wrote this song around 4 in the morning after waking from a dream in which I was singing the first verse and chorus to the Lord. I hopped out of bed and began to write with such intensity like I’ve never experienced before. Then I recorded a rough version using my small studio set up in my bedroom with a whisper of a voice.
I will never forget that experience. Each Soul Longs For God is a song about our innate need for a relationship with God through Jesus. We often try to fill His space with other things that ultimately do not satisfy. It’s a song of worship and a call to salvation.
