In the uncertain times we are living in, the world desperately needs answers and searches for hope to hold on to. When the Corona Virus began sweeping our nation (Christian Music Artist/Songwriter) Kathleen Carnali started receiving many emails and texts, filled with concern, fear and even panic.

With in one week, her whole tour was canceled and she found herself home in Nashville,TN seeking God in the secret place. “All of the sudden, something sparked inside of me, and I felt a sense of urgency to bring a balm of Gilead to the body of Christ.

As I glanced at the lyrics I had written, I knew the time for this song was now, and I couldn’t waste a moment, until it was released.” Kathleen worked tirelessly, along with husband/road manager Brett Carnali, to bring 2020 (Strangely Dim) to life through song and video.

The powerful imagery and message instantly connected with those she shared it with first. The testimonies became clear and she saw the need for such a song as this. “I am so thankful for the flood of praise and worship music that has developed and been distributed through this difficult season. However, my minister’s heart can’t help but see that there is a major disconnect for many people that haven’t been able to reach that place of celebratory praise yet.

With the incredible rise of drug deaths, depression, and suicide rates being the highest they’ve been since World War II, there is an invisible gap that many people find themselves in, who desperately need help to get out. Words of life, with the right sound and frequencies can literally contribute to pulling someone from their darkest place.

This is where my new song 2020 (Strangely Dim) has made such a dramatic impact and deep connection. With the teenager who feels isolated, with the daughter who fears for her parents health, the mother struggling to teach her children at home, and the father who holds the weight of responsibility on his shoulders, this song is reaching people right where they are at. It has become a road map, guiding and illuminating the way toward hope.

It’s ok when we sometimes don’t have the right words to say, when crying out to Jesus. But, when we set our eyes on Him, vulnerable and honest before our God and healer, the craziness of this world grows strangely dim.”
